Websites that are fast and bring enquiries
Hand-built and served as static files. It loads in under a second, works on a phone on a bad connection, and is built so that people actually get in touch. The page you are reading is one of them.
What is included
- Built mobile first, because that is where your visitors are.
- Contact form that lands in your inbox, without a third party watching along.
- Imprint and privacy policy prepared for Austrian law, ready for your lawyer to check.
- Two languages if you need them, with correct language tags for search engines.
- Structured data so Google and AI assistants understand who you are and what you do.
- You get the code. No lock-in, no monthly fee to keep your own site online.
How it runs
- 1 One call about who should land on the site and what they should do there.
- 2 I write the text first. Layout follows content, never the other way around.
- 3 You see a real page in the browser, not a picture of a page, and we change it while it is live for you alone.
- 4 It goes online on your domain, and you get a short handover on what you can change yourself.
Why not a WordPress site
A typical small business site has a dozen plugins, needs security updates every month, and gets slower every year. Delivered as static files there is no database to break into, nothing to update weekly, and hosting for a site like this is free or close to it. The honest exception: if you want to publish an article every week yourself, say so, then we put a proper editor behind it. Choosing the harder tool for the wrong reason is not craftsmanship.
What it costs
Driven by the number of pages, whether the text exists or has to be written, whether photos exist or have to be made, and whether it needs to be bilingual. Running costs afterwards are close to zero: the domain, and hosting that is free at this size. You get a fixed price for a defined scope before anything starts.
Common questions
How long does it take?
A clear one-page site in about a week. A normal business site with five to eight pages in three to four weeks, most of which is waiting for text and photos.
Can I change things myself afterwards?
Text and images yes, once you have seen it done. Structural changes are usually faster and cheaper if I do them. If you want to be fully independent, we plan an editor from the start.
Is the site built to be GDPR friendly?
It is built so that nothing loads from third party servers by default: no external fonts, no analytics, no social plugins. Whether your finished site complies is something your data protection adviser signs off, not me.
Do I get the source code?
Yes, in your own repository. If you never want to hear from me again, everything keeps running.
Is search engine optimisation included?
The technical side is: titles, descriptions, structured data, speed, sitemap, language tags. Ongoing content work is a separate thing, and I will tell you honestly whether it is worth it for your business.
Does this fit your case?
Write two sentences about what eats your time. I will tell you honestly whether it pays off.
